Nepali people on Sunday found a new and interesting way to be heard directly by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Involvement of founding chairman and Chief Executive of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, took the interaction to a whole new level.
Zuckerberg sent a ripple through his facebook post, made on September 13, which announced that Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will be visiting Facebook office for a question and answer session. He also invited users of the social networking site to ask their questions as comments on the post, and assured that he would try his best to discuss them with Modi.
The post drove Nepali people into a frenzy, and they took to the opportunity in droves to ask Modi all sorts of questions, mostly stemming from the recent political standpoint between the two neighbors.
The post was liked more than 718,546 times and shared more than 14,400 times.
While most posts asserted that India should not politically interfere in ways that could hurt the sovereignty of Nepal and the feelings of Nepali people, many people also expressed their views through personal letters addressed to Modi. Some also  made comparisons between the constitutions of the two countries and asked for the exact reason behind India’s unannounced blockade at major customs.
